You must agree to the following terms and conditions in order to be rewarded for inviting your friends who might be interested in our service. These terms and conditions are in addition to your existing Wealthfront Client Account Agreement.

$40 Promotion

The following terms and conditions apply specifically to the limited $40 Cash Referral Program Promotion (the “Promotion”). To participate in the Promotion, you must either be an Eligible Referrer or an Eligible New Client. In order to qualify as an Eligible Referrer, you must meet all of the terms outlined within the Fee Waiver Program, you must be offered participation in the Promotion by Wealthfront, and you must be a resident of one of the following U.S. states: CA, NY, IL, FL, MA, PA, GA, or CO. By making a referral, you attest that your address of record on file with Wealthfront is current and accurate. Eligible Referrers are eligible to receive the Promotion Bonus (defined below) for referring up to five (5) new clients to Wealthfront. Employees of Wealthfront and its affiliates are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.

For a referral to qualify for the Promotion Bonus, the referred individual must:

  • Be a new Wealthfront client, i.e., not a current or former Wealthfront client, and eligible to open a new Wealthfront account (an “Eligible New Client”)
  • Open and fund an individual taxable account (non-taxable, joint, trust, and 529 accounts are not eligible)
  • Maintain at least a minimum balance of $500 in the taxable investment account for 30 days.

If Wealthfront determines that all of the above requirements have been satisfied by both the Eligible Referrer and the Eligible New Client, Wealthfront will deposit $40 in cash (the “Promotion Bonus”) into the taxable investment account of both the Eligible Referrer and the Eligible New Client, a minimum of 30 days after the opening and funding of the Eligible New Client’s account. You may only receive the Promotion Bonus as an Eligible New Client once; however, Eligible New Clients may be eligible to participate in the Promotion as Eligible Referrers after opening their new Wealthfront account. Wealthfront reserves the right to end the Promotion at any time in its sole discretion. Wealthfront will have sole discretion to determine any individual’s eligibility to participate in the Promotion as either an Eligible Referrer or Eligible New Client; to determine whether any referral qualifies for the Promotion Bonus (including, but not limited to, whether all applicable requirements have been met; and to disqualify an individual from receiving the Promotion Bonus for any reason, including (but not limited to) if Wealthfront determines, in its sole discretion, that fraudulent activity or a violation of the terms of the Promotion has occurred. Referrals that qualify for the Promotion Bonus are not eligible for any other account opening promotions offered by Wealthfront, including the $5K managed for free promotion. Only referrals made, and new accounts opened, outside the Promotion are eligible for Wealthfront’s $5K managed for free promotion.

Fee Waiver Program

The fee waiver referral program (“Fee Waiver Program”) is for Wealthfront clients that pay the annual 0.25% advisory fee and refer friends to open and fund a Wealthfront taxable, IRA, 529, and/or other investment accounts (“Investment Account”). To participate in the Fee Waiver Program, you can click the “Get $5K managed for free” button in your dashboard and provide Wealthfront the names and email addresses of your friends. You don’t need to do anything further once you provide us the name and email address for one or more friends. We will email each invited friend to let them know you provided their name and email address to us and give them a specific hyperlink in their personal invitation for opening an Investment Account if they choose, although they are under no obligation to do so. We will also give them additional information about the Fee Waiver Program and our firm (including our Form ADV), and we will describe the fee waiver that you may receive if they open and fund an Investment Account. The fees your friend will pay if they choose to open and fund an Investment Account will not be affected by your account status or account activity.

We will manage an additional $5,000 for free for each friend who uses your unique hyperlink to open and fund an Investment Account with at least $500. We will continue to waive our management fee on $5,000 in Investment Account assets for as long as your friend maintains a funded Investment Account at Wealthfront. However, by participating in the Fee Waiver Program you understand and agree that your friends are free to close their Investment Account(s) at any time, at their sole discretion, which would then eliminate the fee waiver related to your invitation.

Should your friend decide to open and fund an Investment Account through your invitation, we will also reduce the balance upon which we charge your friend our advisory fee by $5,000. If you are a Wealthfront employee and currently receive a reduction in account advisory fees, then you will not receive a further reduction in advisory fees if your friend becomes a client and funds an Investment Account, but each friend you invite who becomes a client will receive a reduction in advisory fees.

By participating in the Fee Waiver Program, you understand we will inform your friend you are a client of Wealthfront and that you are receiving an advisory fee reduction as an incentive. By participating you also understand that participation in the Fee Waiver Program serves as a limited waiver of your privacy rights in that any friends you refer will be aware that you have an open and funded Investment Account. We will not reveal any other information about you or your account(s) at our firm. All existing terms of our Privacy Policy and our privacy obligations to you will apply.

Not all invitations will be considered valid. For example, your friend(s) may receive multiple invitations because we have clients who provide us with duplicative information for invitations, and we cannot guarantee your friend(s) will respond to the invitation based on the information we receive from you. Also, your friend(s) may decide independently to open an Investment Account directly with our firm, or they might already be an existing client of our firm when we issue the invitation. We might also change the invitation program in the future for existing and/or new clients. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to determine that a new or existing fee reduction is valid, and/or to change the terms of the Fee Waiver Program with or without notice to you. The invitations we send based on your help will be tracked on your account dashboard so you can see how your friends have responded and how your fees are credited where appropriate.

By accepting these terms and conditions and participating in this Fee Waiver Program you acknowledge certain information so that we can ensure your eligibility. Specifically, you represent to us that:

  1. you are not being compensated other than as described here;
  2. although you may be a Wealthfront employee, you are not otherwise in the investment advisory or brokerage business (or, if you are, then your job function is not related to this invitation activity or to the financial management of your friend(s)’ assets);
  3. you are not a government entity, or an agent of such entity acting on its behalf;
  4. you will comply with the requirements for this Fee Waiver Program described here, and any securities laws that may apply;
  5. you don’t have any SEC orders issued against you under section 203(f) of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 (the “Act”) or otherwise; have not been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving any securities law violation, including any conviction within the previous ten years of any felony or misdemeanor involving conduct described in section 203(e)(2)(A) through (D) of the Act; have not been found by the SEC to have engaged, or have been convicted of engaging, in any of the conduct specified in paragraphs (1), (5) or (6) of section 203(e) of the Act, and, you are not subject to any order, judgment or decree described in section 203(e)(4) of the Act;
  6. we may conduct due diligence on you to confirm any of the above information; and
  7. you will promptly notify us if any of items 1) through 5) above change.

Cash Account Referral Program

The following terms and conditions apply to participation in Wealthfront’s Cash Account Referral Program (the “Cash Referral Program”). Under this program, you and a friend can each earn a $30 cash bonus (the “Bonus”) if the applicable requirements set forth below are satisfied. The Cash Referral Program allows new and existing clients with a current Wealthfront Cash Account (a “Cash Account”, and such persons “Eligible Referrers”) to refer a friend to open their own Cash Account. To refer a friend through the Cash Referral Program, click the “Share Cash Account invite” button in the Wealthfront app or on the Wealthfront website and either share the specific hyperlink with your friend directly, or provide Wealthfront with the name and email address of your friend (in which case Wealthfront will email the invited friend a personal invitation to open a Cash Account containing a specific hyperlink).

When an Eligible Referrer refers a friend who is a new first-time Wealthfront client (i.e., who has never opened or held any Wealthfront account but is eligible to do so) via one of these methods (an “Eligible New Client”), the Eligible Referrer and Eligible New Client can each earn a Bonus. For an Eligible Referrer to earn a Bonus (a “Referral Bonus”), they must first refer an Eligible New Client via one of the methods described above, and the Eligible New Client must fill out a complete application for a Cash Account after following the hyperlink in the invitation (i.e. the Eligible New Client must navigate to Wealthfront’s Cash Account sign-up flow by clicking on the “Get Started” referral link and must complete the sign-up flow by reaching the final agreement page). In addition, the Eligible Referrer’s Cash Account must remain open until the Referral Bonus is paid, which will occur thirty (30) calendar days after the day on which the Eligible New Client completes the above steps (the “Referral Bonus Payment Date”), provided that the Eligible Referrer’s Cash Account must have been funded on at least one occasion on or prior to the Referral Bonus Payment Date. Only one Referral Bonus can be earned for each Eligible New Client. Each Eligible Referrer may receive a maximum of five (5) Referral Bonuses under the Cash Referral Program.

An Eligible New Client who receives a referral via one of the methods described above can earn a Bonus (a “Recipient Bonus”) by using the referral link to open and fund a new Cash Account. To earn the Recipient Bonus, the Eligible New Client must navigate to the Cash Account sign-up flow by clicking on the “Get Started” referral link and must successfully open a new Cash Account. In addition, the Eligible New Client must make a minimum initial deposit of at least $500.00 at account opening; the new Cash Account must remain open for at least thirty (30) calendar days after the day on which it is opened; and the Cash Account must have a minimum balance of at least $500.00 on the thirtieth (30th) day following the day on which it is opened. The Recipient Bonus will be paid on the thirtieth (30th) day following the day of account opening if the above criteria have been met. Eligible New Clients can only earn one Recipient Bonus under the Cash Referral Program. An Eligible New Client will not be eligible to earn the Recipient Bonus if the referrer has already earned five (5) Referral Bonuses in connection with other referrals, even if all other eligibility criteria have been satisfied.

By making a referral through the Cash Referral Program, you authorize and direct Wealthfront to disclose to any third parties you refer that you are a client of Wealthfront, that you have opened a Cash Account, and that you may be receiving a cash Referral Bonus as an incentive for making a referral. You also authorize and direct Wealthfront to contact third parties for whom you provide a name and email address for the purpose of sending a referral invitation and disclosing the above information. Wealthfront reserves the right to modify or terminate the Cash Referral Program at any time without notice. Wealthfront has no obligation to open an Account for any particular person, regardless of that person’s participation in the Cash Referral Program, and may accept or reject an Account application in its sole discretion. All eligibility decisions shall be made by Wealthfront in its sole discretion. Without limiting the foregoing, Wealthfront shall have sole discretion to determine whether any referral qualifies for a Referral Bonus or Recipient Bonus (including, but not limited to, whether all applicable requirements have been met) and to disqualify any person from receiving a Bonus or otherwise participating in the Cash Referral Program for any reason, including (but not limited to) if Wealthfront determines, in its sole discretion, that fraudulent activity or a violation of the terms of the Cash Referral Program may have occurred. In the event Wealthfront disqualifies a previously paid Bonus, Wealthfront reserves the right to recapture the full amount of such Bonus. Employees of Wealthfront and its affiliates are not eligible to receive a Bonus under the Cash Referral Program. Referrals and new Cash Accounts that qualify for a Bonus are not eligible for any other account opening promotions offered by Wealthfront. All federal, state, and local taxes applicable to a Bonus and any related fees and expenses are the sole responsibility of the Eligible Referrer or Eligible New Client.

Promotional Interest

The following terms and conditions apply to participation in Wealthfront Brokerage LLC’s (“Wealthfront Brokerage”) Promotional Interest Referral Program (the “Promotional Interest Referral Program”). Under this program, you and a friend can each receive a 0.50% APY increase over the then-applicable standard APY (a “Promotional Boost”) on the balance in your respective Wealthfront Cash Accounts (each a “Cash Account”) for three months (on up to a maximum aggregate balance of $250,000 across each person’s Cash Accounts (the “Maximum Balance”)), if the applicable requirements set forth below are satisfied. In addition, qualified referrals through the Promotional Referral Program will automatically qualify you and your friend for three concurrent months of Wealthfront Advisers LLC’s (“Wealthfront Advisers”) Fee Waiver Program, on the terms and conditions described below.

The Promotional Interest Referral Program allows a limited number of select new and existing clients with a current personal Cash Account (“Eligible Referrers”) to refer a friend to open their own personal Cash Account to receive a Promotional Boost. To refer a friend through this program, you must send a referral by clicking the “Share Cash Account invite” button specific to the Promotional Interest Referral Program in the Wealthfront app or on the Wealthfront website, and either sharing the specific hyperlink with your friend directly or providing Wealthfront with the name and email address of your friend (in which case Wealthfront will email the invited friend a personal invitation to open a Cash Account containing a specific hyperlink). ​​When an Eligible Referrer refers a friend who is a new first-time Wealthfront client (i.e., who has never opened or held any Wealthfront account but is eligible to do so) via one of these methods (an “Eligible New Client”), the Eligible Referrer and Eligible New Client can each earn a Promotional Boost. For an Eligible Referrer to earn a Promotional Boost (a “Referral Boost”), they must first refer an Eligible New Client via one of the methods described above, and the Eligible New Client must fill out a complete application for a personal Cash Account after following the hyperlink in the invitation (i.e. the Eligible New Client must navigate to Wealthfront Brokerage’s personal Cash Account sign-up flow by clicking on the “Get Started” referral link and must complete the sign-up flow by reaching the final agreement page). The Eligible Referrer will begin receiving the Referral Boost on their Cash Account balance (up to the Maximum Balance) on the first day after the Eligible New Client completes the Cash Account application as described above, and will continue to receive the Promotional Boost for three (3) months from that date (the “Referrer Promotional Period”). If you close your Cash Account(s) during the Referrer Promotional Period, your Referrer Promotional Period will continue to run and will not be extended. Only one Referral Boost can be earned for each Eligible New Client referred. There is no limit to the number of Eligible New Clients that can earn a Promotional Boost through referrals made by one Eligible Referrer; however, beginning 3/27/23, the maximum aggregate duration of APY increases that any person is eligible to earn at any one time across all promotions, including Referral Boosts under the Promotional Interest Referral Program, is 6 months. Only one Referral Boost can be applied to increase your APY at any one time; any additional Referral Boosts you earn will be applied one at a time following the end of each applicable Referrer Promotional Period (i.e., if you earn multiple Referral Boosts, your APY will not be increased by more than 0.50% over the standard APY, but one or more additional Referrer Promotional Periods will be added to follow your initial Referrer Promotional Period). By making a referral through the Promotional Interest Referral Program, you authorize and direct Wealthfront to disclose to any third parties you refer that you are a client of Wealthfront, that you have opened a Cash Account, and that you may be receiving compensation (a Referral Boost) as an incentive for making a referral. You also authorize and direct Wealthfront to contact third parties for whom you provide a name and email address for the purpose of sending a referral invitation and disclosing the above information.

An Eligible New Client who receives a referral via one of the methods described above can earn a Promotional Boost (a “Recipient Boost”) by using the referral link to open and fund a new personal Cash Account. To earn the Recipient Boost, the Eligible New Client must first navigate to the personal Cash Account sign-up flow by clicking on the “Get Started” referral link and must successfully open a new Cash Account while the Promotional Interest Referral Program is in effect and fund the account within 30 days after account opening. The Eligible New Client will begin receiving the Recipient Boost on their Cash Account balance (up to the Maximum Balance) and interest will start accruing within 24 hours after their Cash Account has been funded, and the Eligible New Client will continue to receive the Promotional Boost for three (3) months from that date (the “Recipient Promotional Period”). You may only receive a Recipient Boost once, and you will not be eligible for additional Recipient Boosts following the expiration of the Recipient Promotional Period. You also cannot receive an additional APY increase by opening additional Cash Accounts, although you may be eligible to participate in the Promotional Interest Referral Program as an Eligible Referrer. Subject to the limitations described above, the Eligible Referrer who referred you to Wealthfront will receive a Referral Boost (and potentially a “Fee Waiver” as described below) once you fill out a complete application for a Cash Account via the referral link.

Wealthfront Brokerage reserves the right to modify or terminate the Promotional Interest Referral Program at any time without notice. Wealthfront Brokerage has no obligation to open a Cash Account for any particular person, regardless of that person’s participation in any promotional program, and may accept or reject an application in its sole discretion. All eligibility decisions shall be made by Wealthfront Brokerage in its sole discretion. Without limiting the foregoing, Wealthfront Brokerage shall have sole discretion to determine whether any referral qualifies for a Referral Boost or Recipient Boost (including, but not limited to, whether all applicable requirements have been met) and to disqualify any person from receiving a Promotional Boost or otherwise participating in the Promotional Interest Referral Program for any reason, including (but not limited to) if Wealthfront Brokerage determines, in its sole discretion, that fraudulent activity or a violation of the terms of the Promotional Interest Referral Program may have occurred. In the event Wealthfront Brokerage disqualifies a Promotional Boost after interest has begun to accrue, Wealthfront reserves the right to recapture the amount of interest attributable to the Promotional Boost to the maximum extent permitted by law. Employees of Wealthfront Brokerage and its affiliates are not eligible to receive a Promotional Boost. Referrals and new Cash Accounts that qualify for a Promotional Boost are not eligible for any other account opening promotions offered by Wealthfront Brokerage or its affiliates, except for the Fee Waiver Promotion as described in these terms and conditions. All federal, state, and local taxes and any related fees and expenses are the sole responsibility of the Eligible Referrer or Eligible New Client. The total amount you can earn through the Promotional Interest Referral Program will vary based on any changes to the total balance in your Cash Account over the applicable Promotional Period and any changes to Wealthfront Brokerage’s standard APY for Cash Accounts over the applicable Promotional Period.

Wealthfront Advisers Fee Waiver 3 Month Promotion

Eligible Referrers and Eligible New Clients who participate in the Promotional Interest Referral Program and receive a Promotional Boost are automatically eligible for up to three (3) months of the Wealthfront Advisers Fee Waiver Promotion as described herein (the “Fee Waiver Promotion”). Under the Fee Waiver Promotion, Wealthfront Advisers will waive its standard advisory fee of 0.25% annually on up to $5,000 of the total balance in your Wealthfront taxable, IRA, 529, or other investment accounts (each of these accounts an “Investment Account,” and such waiver the “Fee Waiver”) during your Referrer Promotional Period or Recipient Promotional Period if all applicable terms and conditions are satisfied.

As an Eligible Referrer, you will receive the Fee Waiver if you earn a Referrer Boost and have, or open, an Investment Account that is funded at any time during your Referrer Promotional Period. You will begin receiving the Fee Waiver on the first day during your Referrer Promotional Period on which your Investment Account contains a balance, and you will continue to receive the Fee Waiver for the remainder of your Referrer Promotional Period. If you earn multiple Referrer Boosts, you will also earn additional Fee Waivers, which will be applied one at a time following the end of each Referrer Promotional Period (i.e., if you earn multiple Referral Boosts, you will not receive a Fee Waiver on more than $5,000 of your Investment Account balance at any one time, but will continue to receive a single Fee Waiver for any additional Referrer Promotional Periods that follow your initial Referrer Promotional Period).

As an Eligible New Client, you will receive the Fee Waiver if you earn a Recipient Boost by first opening a Cash Account as part of the Promotional Interest Referral Program, and then open and fund your first Investment Account immediately thereafter or at any time during your Recipient Promotional Period. You will begin receiving the Fee Waiver on the first day during your Recipient Promotional Period on which your Investment Account contains a balance, and you will continue to receive the Fee Waiver for the remainder of your Recipient Promotional Period.

Wealthfront Advisers reserves the right to terminate the Fee Waiver Promotion at any time without notice. Wealthfront Advisers has no obligation to open an Investment Account for any particular person, regardless of that person’s participation in any promotional program, and may accept or decline an application in its sole discretion. All eligibility decisions shall be made by Wealthfront Advisers in its sole discretion. Without limiting the foregoing, Wealthfront Advisers shall have sole discretion to determine whether any client or referral qualifies for a Fee Waiver (including, but not limited to, whether all applicable requirements have been met) and to disqualify any person from receiving a Fee Waiver for any reason, including (but not limited to) if Wealthfront Advisers determines, in its sole discretion, that fraudulent activity or a violation of applicable terms and conditions (including account opening requirements) may have occurred. Employees of Wealthfront Advisers and its affiliates are not eligible to receive a Fee Waiver through the Fee Waiver Promotion. Investment Accounts that receive Fee Waivers through the Fee Waiver Promotion are not eligible for any other account opening promotions offered by Wealthfront Advisers or its affiliates, except for the Promotional Interest Referral Program as described in these terms and conditions. All federal, state, and local taxes and any related fees and expenses are the sole responsibility of the Eligible Referrer or Eligible New Client.

Participants in the Fee Waiver Promotion will receive additional information about Wealthfront Advisers (including our Form ADV). By participating in this Fee Waiver Promotion, you acknowledge certain information so that Wealthfront Advisers can determine and ensure your eligibility. Specifically, you represent to us that:

  1. you are not being compensated other than as described here;
  2. although you may be a Wealthfront employee, you are not otherwise in the investment advisory or brokerage business (or, if you are, then your job function is not related to this invitation activity or to the financial management of your friend(s)’ assets);
  3. you are not a government entity, or an agent of such entity acting on its behalf;
  4. you will comply with the requirements for the promotions described here, and any securities laws that may apply;

Please note that the Fee Waiver Promotion is separate from Wealthfront Advisers’ standard Fee Waiver Program described elsewhere on our website, and in the event of any inconsistency between the terms of this Promotion and the terms of our standard Fee Waiver Program, the terms set forth above will control with respect to this Fee Waiver Promotion.

Coworker Rewards Promotion

The following terms and conditions apply to participation in the Coworker Rewards Promotion (the “Coworker Rewards Promotion” or the “Promotion”) offered by Wealthfront Brokerage LLC (“Wealthfront Brokerage”) and Wealthfront Advisers LLC (“Wealthfront Advisers”). Under this promotion, eligible employees of selected companies can earn certain rewards or account benefits (“Rewards”) by becoming clients of Wealthfront Brokerage and/or Wealthfront Advisers, or by introducing their coworkers to Wealthfront. The Promotion will be offered in three separate three-week stages (each a “Stage”), with a different Reward available during each Stage, as described below. The number of Rewards available during each Stage is limited, and each Reward is only available during the Stage in which it is first released, while supplies last.

Eligibility to participate in the Coworker Rewards Promotion is determined based on an individual’s employer and status as a Wealthfront client. To be eligible to receive Rewards in connection with the Promotion, a person must be a current employee of one of a limited number of specified companies (such companies, “Eligible Employers”) and must either be an Eligible New Client (as defined below) or an Eligible Referrer (as defined below). For purposes of the Promotion, an “Eligible New Client” is an employee of a particular Eligible Employer who has never opened or held any Wealthfront account, but who is eligible to do so. An “Eligible Referrer” with respect to a particular Stage is an employee of a particular Eligible Employer who has an open, active Wealthfront account during the applicable Stage (subject to Stage-specific requirements) and who has not previously received a Reward for that Stage as an Eligible Referrer or Eligible New Client.

During the second Stage of the Promotion, Eligible New Clients who successfully open and fund a Cash Account through Wealthfront Brokerage as their first Wealthfront account can receive a one-time $200 cash bonus (a “Bonus”) if all applicable requirements are satisfied. A pre-determined and specified limited number of Bonuses will be made available to Eligible New Clients employed by each Eligible Employer during Stage 2 of the Promotion. Bonuses will remain available to Eligible New Clients employed by that Eligible Employer until all such Bonuses are claimed by other Eligible New Clients employed by that Eligible Employer. The number of Bonuses remaining for Eligible New Clients employed by a particular Eligible Employer can be found on the Promotional landing page specific to that Eligible Employer. The Promotional Landing Page can be reached via a shareable URL accessible to existing clients employed by that Eligible Employer or via a unique referral link, as described below. Any unclaimed Bonuses will expire at the end of Stage 2.

To claim a Bonus, an Eligible New Client must (1) visit the Promotional landing page at a time when Bonuses are still available to Eligible New Clients employed by their Eligible Employer; (2) successfully open a Cash Account as their first Wealthfront account during that same browsing session; (3) successfully verify their employment status with an Eligible Employer via Wealthfront’s email verification procedure; and (4) fund their new Cash Account before all Bonuses available to Eligible New Clients employed by their Eligible Employer have been claimed, and before the end of Stage 2 of the Promotion. An Eligible New Client who meets these criteria will successfully claim a Bonus, which will reduce the number of Bonuses available to other Eligible New clients employed by that Eligible Employer; however, in order to receive payment of the Bonus, the Eligible New Client must also satisfy the applicable payment conditions described below (the “Payment Criteria”). If you are an Eligible New Client who receives a personal referral link for the Promotion (as described below) from an Eligible Referrer who shares your Eligible Employer, if you enter the signup process for a Cash Account from the Promotional landing page after arriving via the URL in the referral link, the Eligible Referrer who referred you to Wealthfront will become eligible for a Bonus (subject to the Eligible Referrer meeting the applicable Payment Criteria) once you verify your employment status and fill out a complete application for a Cash Account, subject to the terms and limitations described herein. You do not need to receive or follow a unique personal referral link to be eligible for a Bonus as an Eligible New Client as long as you meet the requirements described above.

Eligible Referrers who have an existing personal Cash Account can also receive a Bonus by referring an Eligible New Client who is an employee of the same Eligible Employer during Stage 2 of the Promotion as described herein. To earn a Bonus by referring a coworker, an Eligible Referrer must have a funded Cash Account and must first successfully verify their employment status with an Eligible Employer via Wealthfront’s email verification procedure, then share a unique Promotional referral link with their coworker. Once you have been verified as an employee of an Eligible Employer, your unique referral link can be found via the “Get my referral link” or “Share referral link” buttons in applicable emails. These buttons will direct you to the Rewards Hub in the Wealthfront app, where you can access your unique referral link via the “Share referral link” button in the Coworker Rewards tab. Coworkers with whom you share your unique referral link will be directed to the Promotional landing page for employees of your Eligible Employer, which will specify the number of Bonuses remaining for Eligible New Clients employed by your Eligible Employer. The landing page also allows visitors to enter Wealthfront’s account signup flow in order to apply for a Cash Account or for an investing account with Wealthfront Advisers. When an Eligible New Client (1) enters the application flow for a Cash Account directly from the Promotional landing page after arriving at that page via an Eligible Referrer’s unique referral link, (2) verifies their status as an employee of the same Eligible Employer when prompted, and (3) fills out a complete application for a personal Cash Account as their first Wealthfront account (i.e. navigates to Wealthfront Brokerage’s personal Cash Account signup flow and completes the signup flow by reaching the final agreement page) at a time when Bonuses are still available to Eligible New Clients of their Eligible Employer, the Eligible Referrer who referred that Eligible New Client will become eligible to receive a Bonus; however, in order to receive payment of the Bonus, the Eligible Referrer must meet the applicable Payment Criteria described below. When an Eligible Referrer becomes eligible to receive a Bonus as described herein, it will not reduce the total number of Bonuses available to Eligible New Clients employed by a given Eligible Employer. If you are an Eligible Referrer who makes a referral by sharing the Promotional referral link, you understand and agree that Wealthfront will disclose to recipients that you are a client of Wealthfront and that you may be receiving compensation in the form of the Bonus as an incentive for making a referral.

Payment Criteria, Timing and other Payment Terms. In order to receive payment of a Bonus as either an Eligible New Client or an Eligible Referrer, you must satisfy the following payment conditions, in addition to meeting the requirements set forth above. For Eligible New Clients: (1) your new Cash Account must be funded within thirty (30) calendar days after the day on which it is opened; (2) your new Cash Account must remain open for at least thirty (30) calendar days after the day on which it is opened; and (3) your Cash Account must have a minimum balance of at least $500.00 on the thirtieth (30th) day following the day of account opening. For Eligible Referrers: (1) your Cash Account must remain open for at least thirty (30) calendar days after the day on which you become eligible for a Bonus via a qualifying referral as described above; and (2) your Cash Account must have a positive balance on the thirtieth (30th) day after the day on which you become eligible for a Bonus via the qualifying referral. Eligible New Client and Eligible Referrers who meet the above Payment Criteria (in addition to all other qualifying criteria set forth above) will receive Bonuses. Bonuses will be processed on the thirtieth (30th) day following either (i) the day of account opening (for Eligible New Clients) or (ii) the day on which you become eligible for a Bonus via a qualifying referral (for Eligible Referrers). Bonuses will be deposited into your Cash Account. You cannot elect to receive a Bonus via any other payment method or via deposit into another Wealthfront account. If you close your Cash Account prior to the day on which you receive the Bonus, if your employment with your Eligible Employer ends prior to the day on which you receive the Bonus, or if you fail to successfully verify or reconfirm your employment with an Eligible Employer if and when asked to do so prior to receiving your Bonus, you will forfeit your Bonus and will be unable to earn another Bonus via the Promotion. All federal, state, and local taxes applicable to a Bonus and any related fees and expenses are the sole responsibility of the Eligible New Client or Eligible Referrer.

Participants in the Promotion can only receive a Bonus once, regardless of whether their Bonus is earned as an Eligible New Client or as an Eligible Referrer. You cannot earn additional Bonuses by opening additional accounts. An Eligible Referrer can refer multiple Eligible New Clients during the Promotion using the same referral link, and multiple Eligible New Clients can earn Bonuses after being referred by the same Eligible Referrer, but an Eligible Referrer will only receive a Bonus for one qualifying referral. Eligible Referrers who receive a Bonus for making a qualifying referral will only receive the Bonus for that qualifying referral, and will not receive any other incentives under any other Wealthfront Brokerage referral promotions for that same qualifying referral. Eligible New Clients and Eligible Referrers who receive Bonuses via the Promotion may be eligible to participate in other referral programs offered by Wealthfront Brokerage, subject to the terms and conditions of those programs. If you earned a Reward via Stage 1 of the Promotion, you are still eligible to earn a Bonus in Stage 2 of the Promotion as an Eligible Referrer. Additionally, earning a Bonus in Stage 2 of the Promotion as either an Eligible New Client or Eligible Referrer will not disqualify you from earning a Reward in Stage 3 of the Promotion as an Eligible Referrer.

The Bonuses described herein constitute the Rewards for Stage 2 of the Promotion.

Terms Applicable to All Stages of the Promotion

Wealthfront Brokerage and Wealthfront Advisers reserve the right to modify or terminate the Coworker Rewards Promotion, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. Wealthfront Brokerage and Wealthfront Advisers have no obligation to open an account for any particular person, regardless of that person’s participation in any promotional program, and may accept or reject applications in their sole discretion. All eligibility decisions shall be made by Wealthfront Brokerage and/or Wealthfront Advisers in their sole discretion. Without limiting the foregoing, Wealthfront Brokerage and/or Wealthfront Advisers shall have sole discretion to determine whether any person qualifies for any Reward (including, but not limited to, whether all applicable requirements have been met) and to disqualify any person from receiving a Reward or otherwise participating in the Coworker Rewards Promotion for any reason, including (but not limited to) if Wealthfront Brokerage or Wealthfront Advisers determine, in their sole discretion, that fraudulent activity or a violation of the terms of the Coworker Rewards Promotion may have occurred. In the event Wealthfront Brokerage disqualifies a Coworker Promotional Boost after interest has begun to accrue, Wealthfront Brokerage reserves the right to recapture the amount of interest attributable to the Coworker Promotional Boost to the maximum extent permitted by law. Employees of Wealthfront Brokerage, Wealthfront Advisers and their affiliates are not eligible to participate in the Coworker Rewards Promotion.

Eligible New Clients who qualify for Rewards through this Promotion are not eligible for any other account opening promotions offered by Wealthfront Brokerage or Wealthfront Advisers outside this Promotion, except to the extent permitted by the terms and conditions of the other promotion. Recipients of Wealthfront Advisers fee waivers under the Promotion are eligible to participate in other Wealthfront Advisers account promotions unless prohibited by the terms and conditions of the other promotions; however, the maximum value of all rewards that can be received by any one person in connection with Wealthfront Advisers account referrals in a 12-month period cannot equal or exceed $1,000, and you will not receive any reward in excess of such limit. Participants in Wealthfront Advisers promotions will receive additional information about Wealthfront Advisers (including our Form ADV). If you participate in a Wealthfront Advisers fee waiver via the Promotion, you acknowledge certain information so that Wealthfront Advisers can determine and ensure your eligibility. Specifically, you represent that:

  1. you are not being compensated other than as described in these terms and conditions;
  2. you are not engaged in the investment advisory or brokerage business (or, if you are, then your job function is not related to any invitation or referral activity or to the financial management of your friend(s)’ assets);
  3. you are not a government entity, or an agent of such entity acting on its behalf;

Please note that any fee waiver described herein is separate from Wealthfront Advisers’ standard Fee Waiver Program, and in the event of any inconsistency between the terms of this Promotion and the terms of our standard Fee Waiver Program, the terms set forth above will control with respect to this Promotion.

Automated Bond Portfolio Referral Program Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to participation in Wealthfront Advisers LLC’s (“Wealthfront Advisers”) Automated Bond Portfolio Account Referral Program (the “Bond Referral Program”). Under this program, if you make or receive a successful eligible referral as described below, Wealthfront Advisers will waive its standard advisory fee of 0.25% annually on up to $250,000 (the “Maximum Balance”) of the total balance in your Automated Bond Portfolio Account for up to three (3) months (the “Advisory Fee Waiver”), provided all applicable terms and conditions are satisfied.

The Bond Referral Program allows new and existing clients with a funded Wealthfront Automated Bond Portfolio Account (“Eligible Referrers”) to refer a friend to open their own Automated Bond Portfolio Account to receive an Advisory Fee Waiver. To refer a friend through this program as an Eligible Referrer, you must send a referral by clicking the “Refer a Friend” button specific to the Bond Referral Program in the Wealthfront app or on the Wealthfront website and sharing the specific hyperlink with your friend. When an Eligible Referrer refers a friend who is a new first-time Wealthfront client (i.e., who has never opened or held any Wealthfront account but is eligible to do so)(an “Eligible New Client”) via this method, the Eligible Referrer and Eligible New Client can each earn an Advisory Fee Waiver. A recipient who follows the hyperlink will be taken to a landing page specific to your referral that provides additional information about the Automated Bond Portfolio Account and Bond Referral Program and allows the recipient to enter the Automated Bond Portfolio Account signup flow if they choose, where they will receive additional information about Wealthfront Advisers (including our Form ADV).

If an Eligible New Client receives a referral hyperlink generated via the above method and chooses to open and fund a new Automated Bond Portfolio Account as their first Wealthfront account after following the referral hyperlink (i.e., after clicking on the “Get started” button on the landing page), both the Eligible New Client and the Eligible Referrer who sent the referral will receive the Advisory Fee Waiver. The Eligible New Client must navigate to the Automated Bond Portfolio Account sign-up flow via the “Get started” button on the referral landing page and must open and fund a new Automated Bond Portfolio Account while the Bond Referral Program is still active in order to qualify. If these criteria are met, the Advisory Fee Waiver will be applied to both the Eligible Referrer and Eligible New Client’s Automated Bond Portfolio Accounts (on up to the Maximum Balance) beginning on the first day on which the Eligible New Client’s new Automated Bond Portfolio Account contains a balance, and both the Eligible Referrer and Eligible New Client will continue to receive the Advisory Fee Waiver for three (3) months from that date (the “Fee Waiver Period”), subject to the limitations described in these terms and conditions. Fee Waiver Periods cannot be extended or paused. If you withdraw the balance from your Automated Bond Portfolio Account during the Fee Waiver Period, your Fee Waiver Period will continue to run and will not be extended. If you close your Automated Bond Portfolio Account during the Fee Waiver Period, you will forfeit any remaining portion of your Fee Waiver Period and will not receive an Advisory Fee Waiver if you open a new Automated Bond Portfolio Account. The Eligible New Client’s Automated Bond Portfolio Account must remain open for the full Fee Waiver Period in order for the Eligible Referrer to receive the Advisory Fee Waiver for the full Fee Waiver Period. If an Eligible New Client closes their Automated Bond Portfolio Account during the Fee Waiver Period, in addition to the Eligible New Client forfeiting the remaining portion of their Fee Waiver Period, the Eligible Referrer who referred that Eligible New Client will also lose the remaining (equivalent) portion of their corresponding Fee Waiver Period. If the balance in your Automated Bond Portfolio Account exceeds the Maximum Balance, you will be charged the standard Wealthfront Advisers advisory fee of 0.25% annually on the portion of your balance that exceeds $250,000.

Only one Advisory Fee Waiver can be earned by an Eligible Referrer for each Eligible New Client referred, and each Eligible New Client can only earn an Advisory Fee Waiver as an Eligible New Client once. Only one Advisory Fee Waiver can be applied to an Automated Bond Portfolio Account at any one time. Any additional Advisory Fee Waivers you earn as an Eligible Referrer will be applied one at a time following the end of each Fee Waiver Period (i.e., if you earn multiple Advisory Fee Waivers as an Eligible Referrer, or earn one or more Advisory Fee Waivers as an Eligible Referrer during a Fee Waiver Period that was earned as an Eligible New Client, you will not receive an increase to the Maximum Balance eligible for any Advisory Fee Waiver, but one or more additional Fee Waiver Periods will be added to follow your initial Fee Waiver Period one at a time). There is no limit to the number of referrals an Eligible Referrer can make, or the number of Eligible New Clients that can earn an Advisory Fee Waiver through referrals made by one Eligible Referrer; however, the limit on the total number of Advisory Fee Waivers an Eligible Referrer can earn under the Bond Referral Program is four (4). In addition, participants in the Automated Bond Referral Program are eligible to participate in other Wealthfront Advisers account promotions (unless prohibited by the terms and conditions of the other promotions), but the maximum value of all rewards that can be received by any one person in connection with account referrals in a 12-month period cannot equal or exceed $1,000.

Wealthfront Advisers has no obligation to open an account for any particular person, regardless of that person’s participation in any promotional program, and may accept or reject an application in its sole discretion. All eligibility decisions shall be made by Wealthfront Advisers in its sole discretion. Without limiting the foregoing, Wealthfront Advisers shall have sole discretion to determine whether any referral qualifies for an Advisory Fee Waiver (including, but not limited to, whether all applicable requirements have been met) and to disqualify any person from receiving an Advisory Fee Waiver or otherwise participating in the Bond Referral Program for any reason, including (but not limited to) if Wealthfront Advisers determines, in its sole discretion, that fraudulent activity or a violation of the terms of the Bond Referral Program may have occurred. Eligible New Clients who receive an Advisory Fee Waiver are not eligible for any other account opening promotions offered by Wealthfront Advisers or its affiliates, regardless of whether they may open additional Wealthfront accounts; however, such persons may be eligible to participate in promotions as a referrer. All federal, state, and local taxes and any related fees and expenses are the sole responsibility of the Eligible Referrer or Eligible New Client.

The Bigger the Deposits, the Bigger the Bonus

The following terms and conditions apply to participation in the Wealthfront Brokerage LLC (“Wealthfront Brokerage”) Tiered Incentive Program, a/k/a “The Bigger the Deposits, the Bigger the Bonus” (the “Program”). The Program is available only to prospective first-time clients of Wealthfront Brokerage, i.e., persons who are eligible to open a Wealthfront Brokerage Cash Account (a “Cash Account”) and who have never opened or held any account with Wealthfront (all such accounts collectively, “Wealthfront Accounts” and such persons, “Eligible New Clients”). When an Eligible New Client opens and funds a Cash Account as their first Wealthfront Account via the Program landing page while the Program is active, they are eligible to receive a cash bonus based on the amount of their qualifying deposits into Wealthfront Accounts within a 30-day period (as described below), subject to these terms and conditions.

Eligible New Clients who open a personal Cash Account from the Program landing page (i.e., after visiting the Program landing page and clicking on the “Get Started” button on that specific page) prior to the expiration of the Program are eligible to receive a cash bonus (the “Bonus”) in one of four predetermined amounts (“Bonus Tiers”). Your Bonus Tier will be calculated based on the difference of (A) the total aggregate amount of deposits you make into your Cash Account, plus any deposits you make into any other individual, personal Wealthfront Accounts (i.e., not jointly held or trust accounts) you may open after opening your Cash Account, within thirty (30) days following the day on which you open your Cash Account (the “Initial Deposit Period”), minus (B) the aggregate amount of any withdrawals you make from your Wealthfront Accounts during the Initial Deposit Period (such total, your “Qualifying Deposits”). Any changes in your balances due to market appreciation or depreciation, or interest, dividends or bonuses received, will not counted toward determining your Qualifying Deposits. Your Qualifying Deposits must equal at least $25,000 as of the end of the Initial Deposit Period in order to receive a Bonus. At the end of the Initial Deposit Period, if your Qualifying Deposits total at least $25,000 but less than $50,000, you will qualify for the $60 Bonus Tier; if your Qualifying Deposits total at least $50,000 but less than $100,000, you will qualify for the $125 Bonus Tier; if your Qualifying Deposits total at least $100,000 but less than $250,000, you will qualify for the $250 Bonus Tier; and if your Qualifying Deposits total $250,000 or more, you will qualify for the $625 Bonus Tier. You can only qualify for one Bonus Tier, and Bonuses are not cumulative (e.g., if you qualify for the $125 Bonus Tier, you will qualify for a $125 Bonus but will not also receive a $60 Bonus). Once your Bonus Tier has been determined as of the end of the Initial Deposit Period, you cannot change to a different tier. Deposits made after the Initial Deposit Period will not be counted toward your level of Qualifying Deposits for purposes of determining your Bonus Tier. Deposits must be completed or pending (i.e., scheduled and not canceled or reversed) prior to the end of the Initial Deposit Period to count toward your level of Qualifying Deposits for purposes of determining your Bonus Tier. Any deposits that are subsequently canceled or reversed will not be counted toward your Qualifying Deposits.

Bonuses will be paid in three (3) equal or substantially equal installments (each a “Bonus Payment”) over a period of approximately ninety (90) days from the day on which you open your Cash Account (the “Payment Period”). You must maintain at least the minimum level of Qualifying Deposits for your Bonus Tier across your Wealthfront Accounts for the full remaining duration of the Payment Period in order to receive all Bonus Payments. You may transfer any or all of your Qualifying Deposits to any of your other personal Wealthfront accounts at any time during the Payment Period and still remain eligible to receive all Bonus Payments; your Qualifying Deposits can be held in or transferred to any of your other personal Wealthfront Accounts, including your Cash Account or any investment accounts managed by Wealthfront Advisers LLC that you may open. However, if you make one or more withdrawals from your Wealthfront Accounts during the Payment Period that result in the total aggregate amount of your Qualifying Deposits across your Wealthfront Accounts falling below the minimum qualifying amount of Qualifying Deposits for your specific Bonus Tier at any time, you will forfeit all subsequent Bonus Payments and you will not receive the full Bonus. For example, if you qualify for the $125 Bonus Tier at the end of the Initial Deposit Period, you must maintain Qualifying Deposits of at least $50,000 across your Wealthfront Accounts for the full duration of the Payment Period to receive all three Bonus Payments; and if you make one or more withdrawals from your Wealthfront Accounts during the Payment Period that causes the total amount of your Qualifying Deposits to fall below $50,000 at any time, you will forfeit any Bonus Payments you have not yet received, and you will not move to the $60 Bonus Tier. Balance changes due to market depreciation will not be deemed to reduce your Qualifying Deposits or result in the forfeiture of remaining Bonus Payments. Your first Bonus Payment will be processed at the end of the Initial Deposit Period, i.e. thirty (30) days following the day on which you open your Cash Account. Your second and third Bonus Payments will be processed sixty (60) and ninety (90) days, respectively, following the day on which you open your Cash Account. Bonus Payments will be paid into your Cash Account and will generally clear within one to three business days after the date on which they are processed, but are not guaranteed to clear within this time frame. If you close your Cash Account during the Payment Period, you will forfeit any remaining Bonus Payments. You may close any other Wealthfront Accounts other than your Cash Account during the Payment Period without forfeiting remaining Bonus Payments as long as you maintain at least the minimum level of Qualifying Deposits for your Bonus Tier across your Cash Account and any other Wealthfront Accounts that remain open. Initial Deposit Periods and Payment Periods cannot be paused or extended.

You can only earn one Bonus by participating in this Program. You cannot earn additional Bonuses by opening additional Cash Accounts. You cannot earn Qualifying Deposits by being added to any existing Wealthfront Account as a joint or secondary accountholder. Participants in the Program are not eligible for any other Wealthfront account opening promotions. Participants are also ineligible to receive any other Cash Account incentives or promotions during the Payment Period; however, participants may still be eligible for certain promotions offered by Wealthfront Advisers LLC during the Payment Period, and participants may participate in and receive other Cash Account promotions or incentives after the end of their Payment Period, subject to the terms and conditions of such other promotions or incentives.

Wealthfront Brokerage reserves the right to modify or terminate the Program at any time without notice. Wealthfront Brokerage has no obligation to open a Cash Account for any particular person, regardless of that person’s participation in any promotional program, and may accept or reject an application in its sole discretion. Wealthfront Advisers LLC also has no obligation to open any Wealthfront Account for any particular person. All eligibility decisions relating to the Program will be made by Wealthfront Brokerage in its sole discretion. Without limiting the foregoing, Wealthfront Brokerage has sole discretion to disqualify any person from receiving a Bonus for any reason, including (but not limited to) if Wealthfront Brokerage determines, in its sole discretion, that fraudulent activity or a violation of the terms may have occurred. In the event Wealthfront Brokerage disqualifies a participant after receiving a Bonus Payment, or disqualifies any Bonus Payment after it has been processed, Wealthfront Brokerage reserves the right to seek to recapture any Bonus Payments such person was not eligible to receive, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Employees of Wealthfront Brokerage and its affiliates are not eligible to receive a Bonus in connection with the Program. All federal, state, and local taxes and any related fees and expenses are the sole responsibility of the Eligible New Client. The maximum total amount you can earn through the Program is $625.

Cash Accounts are offered by Wealthfront Brokerage, a Member of FINRA/SIPC and an affiliate of Wealthfront Advisers. Neither Wealthfront Brokerage nor any of its affiliates are a bank, and Cash Account is not a checking or savings account.
