Schwab US TIPS ETF
SCHP - TIPS
SCHP aims to track the performance of the Bloomberg Barclays US Treasury Inflation-Linked Bond Index (Series-L), which contains bonds covering the full maturity range of the US Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) market. TIPS are treasury bonds whose values are indexed to inflation, meaning their prices respond to real, rather than nominal, interest rates. Investments in SCHP are appropriate for investors seeking medium to long-term income and protection against inflation. TIPS are subject to risk from changing interest rates and low inflation.
When SCHP declines in value, we’ll automatically sell it and buy the alternate as part of our tax-loss harvesting strategy.
