At Wealthfront, we’re constantly developing new products and features to help you build, borrow, and save smarter. In 2026 we have been focusing a lot of our time on significant infrastructure enhancements that will enable new innovative products, some of which you’ll hear about soon.

We’re also excited by the updates we’ve already made to help clients get more out of Wealthfront. From expanding our mortgage offering to launching a brand new account type, here’s what we’ve shipped so far this year:

More ways to invest

You now have even more ways to build wealth on your terms.

Wealthfront Custodial Account

Our new Custodial Account gives you a simple, flexible way to invest for your children, setting them up for major milestones beyond education, like a first car or a down payment on a home. It’s also one of the only Custodial Accounts that’s designed to automatically reduce your child’s future tax burden before they take ownership of the account.

Stock Investing Account upgrades

Many of our clients want to invest in individual stocks and ETFs alongside their long-term portfolio. Our Stock Investing Account now offers 300+ new securities—including highly requested foreign stocks like Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM), ASML Holdings (ASML), and Novo Nordisk (NVO). Our redesigned search experience makes discovering stocks and ETFs easier than ever. You also now have more control over your dividends: you can choose to automatically reinvest the proceeds or sweep them into your Cash Account to earn interest from program banks.

We’ve been working on significant additional enhancements, including recurring investments and support for even more stocks and ETFs, which you’ll hear more about soon.

A new market insights newsletter: Vested Interest

We introduced our biweekly Vested Interest newsletter to keep you informed on major economic trends, interesting topics in financial markets, and how it might impact you. Subscribe to get clear insights on key market topics like interest rate shifts, home affordability, AI, this year’s mega IPOs, as well as context on what they might mean for your wallet.

Supporting you through new life stages

We’ve also continued to support clients through different life events. If you’re combining finance, you can now easily move money from an Individual Investing Account into a Joint Account—without liquidating assets or triggering a gain or loss. This means that what can be a slow multi-step process across the industry is now a self-serve process that can be completed in a few taps, with the goal of no taxes or paperwork involved.

We also streamlined and automated operations to support death and divorces. It’s an experience we don’t want you to have, but when you do, we want you to focus on your life, not the financial logistics.

More ways for you to earn more and manage your everyday finances

So far this year, we’ve introduced updates designed to help you get more value and control of your Cash Account

Higher yields on your cash

Your uninvested cash earns a competitive 3.55% base APY from program banks. On top of that, you can boost your yield even further with an additional +0.25% APY boost when you set up a monthly direct deposit of $1,000+ to your Cash Account or recurring deposits of $2,500 into any Wealthfront account and maintain a funded investing account. If you already meet these requirements, your boost applies automatically with no expiration date, no balance limit, and no referral needed.

Smarter tools to automate your savings

On top of earning higher yield opportunities on your cash, you now have more tools to automate and track your savings goals. You can automatically route your monthly interest into specific categories (like an Emergency or Vacation fund), set up recurring category transfers, and track target amounts with visual progress rings in the app.

Faster money movement with higher limits

Clients are taking advantage of free instant withdrawals, with instant networks like RTP and FedNow surpassing traditional ACH transfers this year. With higher ACH transfer limits, and free outgoing wire transfers, you can handle larger, faster transactions  with Wealthfront. We’re excited to continue investing in more fast money movement capabilities, more flexibility, and continuing to increase limits.

Simpler and more secure logins

By popular request, accessing your accounts is now simpler and more secure: with passkey support, you can sign in using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode.

Progress on our journey to reinvent home lending

You deserve home financing that’s easy and saves you money. Wealthfront Home Lending cuts out traditional mortgage friction to give you rates ~50 bps below national averages. And the process is designed  to be  handled through a self-serve digital experience with upfront pricing and zero sales calls.

Here’s what’s new with Wealthfront Home Lending this year:

  • Now available in California, Colorado, and Texas with rates ~50 basis points below national averages, saving clients an average of $183 per month so far.
  • Get upfront, personalized rate estimates, explore custom loan options and lock in your rate online without needing to speak to a loan officer (though licensed support is available if needed).
  • Skip tedious manual entry with an application that auto-fills using your existing Wealthfront profile. And, if your compensation includes RSUs, our automated RSU verification helps you get faster pre-approval.
  • Explore our recently launched homebuying guide for a step-by-step roadmap to walk you through every phase of the homebuying process.

What’s coming next

  • Expanding Wealthfront Home Lending to Washington, Oregon, Illinois and Florida, while continuing to enhance the mobile experience for purchasing or refinancing your home.
  • Improving our Stock Investing Account, including adding highly requested features like recurring investments, additional securities, and Joint and Trust Accounts.
  • Expanding the capabilities of the Cash Account to make it an even more convenient place to save uninvested cash.

Stay tuned for more updates.
